This is what Pacific Driver Education is doing to reduce exposure and risk to Covid-19

Q - what rules/expectations do you have for your instructors to ensure to the best of one's ability that they are COVID negative?

A - Each examiner sanitizes with OHA approved sanitizer before and after each test.

Q - How are the cars being cleaned and sanitized between drives?

A – Every car is wiped down between every lesson and drive test. Steering wheel, hand brake, doors - anything that someone would touch - either the client or the examiner.

Q - Are you requiring that windows are open during the driving test (since they are longer than 15 minutes in an enclosed space?

A - Windows are open and we have installed rain guards on the windows to prevent the occupants from getting wet.

Q - How do you limit the number of people allowed inside your offices prior to driving or testing?

A - We strictly adhere to the 6ft limit and only allow the person taking a lesson or taking a test to enter the office. If the person testing is under 18, we will allow one parent or guardian in the office with them. We also sanitize the chairs, desks, or anything they may have touched when clients leave. We also thoroughly clean the office during lunch and at the close of business each day with sanitizer.

We want all our clients to feel comfortable and safe during this time, but if you are concerned in any way, we will be happy to cancel, refund, or reschedule your drive lesson or test.

Below is the list of questions we ask everyone who enters our facility, including office staff and instructors.

  • Do you have a new or worsening cough?
  • Have you had a fever? We also require them to take their temperature in our office.
  • Have you experienced shortness of breath?
  • Have you been in close contact with someone who has Covid-19?
  • Have you recently experienced a loss of taste or smell?
  • Are you waiting for the results of a Covid-19 test?

If anyone answers in the affirmative, we do not allow them to take a test or begin their drive lesson.

  • Due to high demand, the wait time to schedule a driving lesson for our after-school students is unusually long.
  • Our scheduling team will reach out to you by email, phone, or text within five business days of your registration. They will be ready to set up your lesson dates. Please respond promptly. Your lessons may start later than expected if we cannot reach you to set up lesson times.
  • Our lesson times are as follows Monday through Friday: 8:45 am, 10:30 am, 1:00 pm, 2:45 pm, 3:00 pm, 3:15 pm, and 3:30 pm.
  • We will contact you in the order you register to set up your student's schedule.
  • If you would like a lesson in the morning, those appointments, have a wait time about 5 weeks from the time of registration.
  • If you would like an afternoon appointments, that wait time is around 9 weeks from the time of registration.
  • Thank you for your patience as we work to get you on the road.

What Our Clients Say

I took the class with Steve and lessons with skip. I have to say that skip was a very chill teacher, and was patient with me, even when I got very nervous (which happened a lot at the beginning). By the end, I had become more relaxed. Unfortunately, my first test attempt was unsuccessful, but I learned from my critical mistake (last second lane change without looking) and came back three weeks later. The second time I took my test (both times were with Damon), he said that my driving was phenomenal and one of his best all week. I only lost 3 points on the test. In conclusion, it was worth the time and special thanks to Skip and Damon for helping me get the confidence I needed.

It was worth it. The instructors were Superb very professional and their passuon and patience, skills were commendable especially their way of teachings so conservatively neither negatively or positively. I will recommend you guys definitely. Keep up the good job. Cheers

I was nervous to drive. But after my first session with my instructor, i couldn't wait for the next chance to drive. I would recommend anyone to go "PDE". I am a confident and safe driver thanks to them!!

I was there today very early for my driver’s test. I had Gerry as my examiner. I want to say, I so appreciate your office because there are so many BIPOC folks working there. As a person of color, I felt comfortable and well served. Gerry was great; so was everyone from the people at the front desk to others. I’m so happy I decided to take the test for Pacific and that I chose the Gresham office. Much Appreciation, Peggy
